The classic Manhattan was created in the late 19th century for a party at the Manhattan Club in New York to impress foreign dignitaries. It’s success secured it a spot as a favorite cocktail; 150 years later and it’s still favored as a true American cocktail that you can be sure your guests will love.
How to make the Manhattan

Ingredients:
- 2 oz Bulleit Rye
- 1 oz Sweet Vermouth
- 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
Presentation:
- Glassware: Rocks or Coupe
- Ice: Kold Draft Ice (if Rocks)
- Garnish: Black Cherry
Method:
- Combine all ingredients into mixing beaker
- Add ice and stir 40 times
- Strain into rocks glass over large ice or into coupe over no ice using a julep strainer
- Garnish with Black cherry
